Making Time for God in Your Life

Proverbs 4:20-23 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. NKJV

The Word of God says that we must give our attention to the His Words.  It’s interesting that in life we make time for just about everything that we want to.  Yet when you talk to some people about spiritual things, they always have some kind of excuse for why they don’t read their Bible, pray, or go to church.

We have to make time for God in our lives. We will not change or grow spiritually unless we make room and give God some time. When you give Him your time He can talk to you about things in your life. It can cause a shift in your priorities; it can change your heart and give you another perspective.

In the natural, through the course of our lives, we have moments where we evaluate what is important.  I remember the days after 9/11, people began to re-think what was important.  People started praying more, appreciating their loved ones more etc.  You do not need to wait for a tragic event to happen.  God’s Word can help you see things clearer and give you a proper perspective right now.

Make time for God today. Attend to His Word; it is life and health to you!
