Activate the Word
Matthew 7:24-27 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
As believers, we must learn to put the word into action. We do it over and over again in the scriptures; it’s what we have to do to activate God's power in our lives. The Bible says that we are to ask God in prayer for help. (Matt 7:7) God cannot help us unless we ask. He told us to speak to the mountains in our lives (Mark 11:23). He told us to believe and trust him. (John 14:1)
Too many people are sitting around waiting for God to fix their lives, when the truth is, God has already done something for them; they don't recognize it. You have to put God's word into action in your life. How do I do that? By speaking the word with your mouth, by believing in your heart, and by being a doer of the word in your life. Stop waiting for God to come and take control of everything in your world; instead, take action.
You have spiritual authority; you have the ability through God to change natural things.
Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Get your eyes off the circumstances and focus on the word of God.
2 Corinthians 4:18 - while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
The things of this life are temporary or changeable. You can change things with your faith in God.
Mark 10:27 - But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God, all things are possible."
Allow God to do something in your life. Ask him to help, believe in your heart that he will. Speak to circumstances and tell them what you want. Trust in God, and he will deliver you. Put the Word into action!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are my foundation. I look to You for wisdom, strength, and direction. I’m so thankful that in you, all things are possible! Father, I pray today that I would see my part; that I would seek you; and that I would ask in Jesus' name. I choose to believe in my heart, to speak to the mountains and allow you to move in my life. I thank you in advance for all that you are doing for me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
